REQUIREMENTS FOR ATTESTATION OF VARIOUS DOCUMENTS |
Commercial Documents
1.
The documents presented to the Embassy for attestation should be duly attested
beforehand by the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
2.
The normal fee for attestation of each commercial document is SEK 510.
Power of Attorney/ Affidavit/ Divorce Papers/other documents
- All such documents for Pakistani Nationals only i.e either holders of valid Pakistani Passports or NICOP have to be signed by the persons issuing them in the presence of an authorized officer of the Embassy. If the individual is unable to come to the Embassy in person, the document must be got attested first from a Notary Public and then from the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. All Swedish Nationals (Swedish/Allien Passport holders) are required to first have their documents attested by Notary Public and then by the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs before bringing them to Embassy for attestation. They are not required to present themselves for signing and can even send them by post after payment of prescribed fee, which is double than that of Pakistani Nationals.
- These documents should also be signed by two witnesses, who are not relatives of the person signing the authorization. Full names with complete addresses and telephone numbers of both the witnesses should be clearly indicated under their signatures.
- Original Passports and Identity Cards of the applicants (along with their photocopies) All Commercial Documents for attestation should also be verified form the Swedish Ministry of Affairs, in advance.
Papers for transfer of dead bodies to Pakistan
The Embassy can attest the following documents in respect of a deceased Pakistani national living in Sweden or other countries of accreditation (Finland, Latvia, Estonia):
- Death Certificate of the Hospital
- Clearance Certificate of the concerned Municipality/Commune
While forwarding the above papers to the Embassy, the passport of the deceased should also be enclosed.
'Nikah nama' (Marriage Certificate)
- The document should first be got attested from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan.
- The Embassy can verify the Ministry's attestation
Fees
Consular Fees are not accepted in cash at the Consular desk of the Embassy.
Consular Fees can be deposited in Embassy’s SEB Account no 5277 10 109 68 or Facility for making payment by Credit/Debit Card is Now available at the Embassy.
Payments through internet are not accepted in urgent cases.
Full name of the applicant must be written clearly on the Bank slips.
The deposit slip must be attached to the application form before submission, otherwise the case would be kept pending.
Cash is also not accepted through post. Envelops containing cash are returned without consideration.

Applicants from outside Sweden while making payment of the consular fee through a bank, MUST ADD 60 SEK TO THE TOTAL FEE ON ACCOUNT OF BANK TRANSFER CHARGES, which is ultimately paid by the Embassy to the concerned Bank. Such cases, where the Bank Transfer Charges are not paid separately by the applicant to the Embassy, would be kept pending.
